THE STRUGGLE

The struggle within us all,

will ultimately be our demise.

The fight that burns in our hearts,

the battle between man and himself.

The animal does not explore itself,

it only lives to live.

It does not yearn,

it does not cry.

It only knows what it needs,

for animals can live only in harmony.

But man cannot.

Man sees only what it does not have,

not what it needs.

He questions himself and asks,

what is life?

What is life but not to ultimately to explore what life is?

This desire to know and to accomplish.

What man does not know is,

when the time comes,

He will know all, and will know what life is.

But then realizes that he can only live,

if he doesn't know.

He will become an animal.
